I wrote this, along with Bao Le-Huu and Justin Strout. An unordered breakdown of some of the year’s best records, along with a little essay on why Trentemøller’s “Late Night Tales” comp was the perfect soundtrack for a year of grief-inspired soul-searching.
There are two elevators in my hotel. One has a Certificate of Operation signed by Rick Scott, Governor. The other one (expiring in a few months) is signed by Charlie Crist, Governor. It’s like a Choose Your Own Florida game.
